The collective sale of Beltex females at Lanark on Saturday 8th December 2007 saw a good clearance of the lots forward. Gwion Morgan, Ty Y Wern, Fford Corwen, Ruthin, North Wales judged the show, awarding the championship to local breeder, Andrew Baillie, Callacrag, Carnwath for his gimmer, Calla Kirsty, a Brickrow Hervey daughter out of a Coningswick-bred ewe, and in-lamb to Longley Hero. The reduction sale of Brickrow females from John Cowan, 3 Brickrow, Auchincruive provided the day's top-priced Christmas crackers, all sired by the Irish-bred ram, Cookstown Hamish, the Brickrow stock sire. The Brickrow offering comprised 33 in-lamb gimmers and 30 ewe lambs and leading the way at 4,200gns was this year's Highland Show champion, the aptly-named Brickrow Kickoff, which was also this year's reserve champion at the Great Yorkshire Show. An ET daughter by Cookstown Hamish out of a Glebe-bred ewe, and carrying twins by the Belgian-bred sire, Mustang, she sold to Kevin Dempster, Kirklawhill Farm, Broughton, Biggar.

Next in the ring, selling at 3,500gns and keeping up the family tradition was Brickrow Kit, whose dam sold at 2,600gns last year. She was followed at 3,200gns by Brickrow Kossie, a Hamish-sired gimmer out of Brickrow Esprit and carrying triplets by Mustang. She joins the Tewitt Hall flock of B & F Staveley, Tewitt Hall Farm, Newby Moor, Clapham, Lancaster. Brickrow Katriona, a Hamish daughter out of Brickrow Handmade and carrying twins by Mustang, found a new home in Co Durham when she was knocked down at 1,800gns to H Jewitt, Gracies Farm, Romaldkirk, Barnard Castle.

A 1,600gns bid from Messrs Goodge & Sommerville, Hillbrae Farm, Newmachar saw Brickrow Knockers, a Hamish-sired gimmer out of Brockrow Golden Girl heading north to Aberdeenshire. She scanned with twins by Mustang, also the sire of the single carried by Brickrow Karrot, a Hamish daughter out of Brickrow Erica knocked down at 1,100gns to S McCormack, Lugate Farm, Stow, Galashiels. A second 1,100gns deal saw Brickrow Keyhole, by Hamish out of Brickrow Dizzy and carrying a single by Mustang, go to Messrs McInnes, Ruaig, Tiree.
