Wales & Border in-lamb Ewe Sale 2011
Monday 5th December

Wales & Border Beltex members were determined to promote the growth of the breed on home soil. The sale of Beltex In Lamb ewes was met with a very pleasing sale at Welshpool, a select entry of top quality females were put forward with a top price of 900 guineas for a yearling ewe entered by Dermot Costelloe, West Barn – Camp House Pamela in lamb to Bailey Brook Royal ET and was purchased by A.Wynne, Bryniau Pair Isaf of Abergele.

Dermot Costelloe also went on to sell a number of older ewes all making over 520 gns. The oldest ewe offered for sale on the day was a 2005 born ewe from H Hughes & R Jenkins-Hughes, Pwllpeirain, Cwmystwyth, Aberystwyth which sold for 420gns - Pantgwyn Jigsaw a Home Bred ewe was in lamb to Ochtermuthill Muir.
