| Anthony Neaves from Staplehurst, Tonbridge in Kent who
runs the Savaen Beltex flock was victorious at the Ashford Fat show on
31st November, when he was placed 1st out of 35 pairs with his 3/4 Beltex
lambs in the Beltex class. He then went on to win the Supreme Championship
out of the 123 pairs of various breeds and crosses. The 47kg lambs were
later sold for £320 each. |

| Beltex breeder, Anthony Neaves kept the flag flying
for Beltex down in Kent, when he won the Reserve Supreme Championship
at the Maidstone Fat Show with his 45kg 3/4 Beltex lambs. |

After an amazing round of the primestock shows, Andrew
and Becky Bishop, Pitfield Farm, Eldersfield, Glos, travelled home
victoriously from Agri-Live Smithfield, held for the first time, at
the Royal Showground. Their Supreme Champions, which were the winners
from the Beltex class, also claimed the Championship for the pair of
short woolled lambs. At the auction following the show, the winning
pair were sold for £4500 each to M/s Wright, Boston. |

Scottish Winter Fair |

Beltex once again dominated the proceedings at the
Scottish Winter Fair, when R Hall & Sons, Inglewood Edge, claimed
the Supreme Championship with their Beltex lambs, which later sold
for £300.

English Winter Fair |

It was three in a row for Andrew & Becky Bishop,
Bishops Beltex, when they claimed the Supreme Sheep Pairs Championship
at the English Winter Fair held at the Staffordshire and Birmingham
Agricultural Society's showground. The winning pair, were the 1st prize
winners from the pair of trimmed wether lamb class. |

Meanwhile, it was Beltex in the headline in the Combined
Live and Dead classes, when Messrs Madden & Johnson exhibited their
winning pair of Beltex X |

Beltex were victorious courtesy of Andrew and Becky
Bishop, Gloucestershire, with their pair of purebred Beltex. This duo,
which tipped the scales at 44kg/apiece, are by Luggsmill Laney. |

Standing reserve were last year's championship winners
Martin and Val Brown, Bedale, with another pair of Beltex sired lambs.
This pair tipped the scales at 51.5kg each and are by a homebred Beltex
tup and out of 3/4 Beltex dams |

Beltex ruled supreme again at the Borderway Agri-Expo
event at Carlisle when Andrew & Becky Bishop, Pitfield Farm, Glos,
walked away with the Supreme Championship with their pair of purebred
Beltex. |

Bedale with her winning pair of Beltex from the Young Farmers section. |
