Welsh Winter Fair 2011 Beltex lambs took the major championship prizes at the 2011 Welsh Winter Fair. The Hall family from Inglewood Edge, Dalston, Carlisle travelled to Wales from Cumbria with a greatly admired team of lambs and were rewarded with both the Supreme and Reserve Supreme Championships. English Winter Fair DS and LE Wadland took the Reserve Overall championship at the English Winter Fair, Bingley Hall, Stafford with a pair of Beltex lambs that had previously taken first prize in the pure Beltex class. [report]
Premier Meat Exhibition Andrew Baille from Carstairs Mains was awarded the Championship in the live section with a Beltex sired lamb at the Premier Meat Exhibition held at Caledonian Mart and then went on to win the champion carcass at Scotbeef, Bridge of Allan. [report]
Scottish Winter Fair Andrew Bishop’s first visit to the Scottish Winter Fair was a great success as he was awarded the Overall Supreme Championship with a greatly admired pair of Beltex lambs weighing 103kg. The lambs were by the highly acclaimed homebred sire Lugsmill Dylan. [report]
Agri Expo Andrew Bishop returned to the Winter Show circuit after a twelve month absence with a greatly admired team of Beltex lambs at Agri Expo 2011, and was awarded the Supreme Championship. Judge Andrew Atkinson from Skipton, Yorkshire awarded the Bishops’ Beltex lambs the continental Championship before selecting them for the Supreme title. [report]
Countryside Live John Hall and family from Inglewood Edge, Dalston, Carlisle won the Supreme accolade at the first of the winter primestock shows Countryside Live 2011 at Harrogate. [report]
Beltex Supreme at Skipton The monthly show of prime lambs held at Skipton Auction Mart on Monday February 7th was a clean sweep for Beltex sired lambs, winning both the championship and reserve. [report]
