Premier Meat Exhibition

Andrew Baille from Carstairs Mains was awarded the Championship in the live section with a Beltex sired lamb at the Premier Meat Exhibition held at Caledonian Mart and then went on to win the champion carcass at Scotbeef, Bridge of Allan.

Champion Carcass

The winning lamb had a carcass weight of 23.5kg and a 57.5% killing out percentage.

Andrew Morton, Lochend Farm won the Reserve Champion carcass with a lamb sired by Beachy Norman.

Beltex sired lambs were prominent throughout the prizewinners at the premier meat exhibition and credit must go to all exhibitors for an excellent show of Beltex lambs at this prestigious Scottish event
