English Winter Fair 2011

DS and LE Wadland took the Reserve Overall championship at the English Winter Fair, Bingley Hall, Stafford  with a pair of Beltex lambs that had previously taken first prize in the pure Beltex class.

The winning pair of lambs were March born and homebred from the Wadland’s Valley View Farm and will be shown at the East of England Smithfield Show.

The Wadlands have used Beltex for the last ten years with numerous successes at local and national level.

Beltex breeding was seen in many of the live lamb and carcass section exhibits at the English Winter Fair with more farmers turning to the Beltex breed for its heritable double-muscle traits which make it a premium product for the home and export markets.
