Martin and Val Brown and daughter Hannah from Newton le Willows, near Bedale, won the Supreme and reserve pair of butchers lambs and the single butchers lamb class, they also were the champions and reserve in the Yorkshire bred, owned and exhibited. Champions (pictured) were from the over 45kg class of the continental sired section, reserves were the under 35kg pair.

The Royal Smithfield Club organised a National Festival of Meat at Countryside LIve, when the saddle of lamb championship went to Mr W Evans,Bodorgan,Anglesey,Wales with his Beltex X Male 19kg

"In the sheep section, officiating was Paul Barker of Colne, Lancashire.  His supreme champion pair of lambs came from the over 40.1kg Beltex class shown by Andrew Baillie of Callacrag, Carnwath and were also the overall winning Continental lambs.

The reserve supreme champion pairing came from the winning Young Farmers class shown by Hannah Brown of Bedale, N.Yorkshire.  Her pair of Beltex sired lambs also picked up the reserve overall winning Continental sired lambs."
